burns.design have been appointed to work alongside EMA Architects to develop the apartment internal layouts as well as designing the resident’s communal areas. The proposed communal areas design scheme takes inspiration from its locality, refreshed purpose and heritage. The neighbouring art museum and botanic gardens presence flows through the transitional spaces styling and colour palette. United by the historic building, where old meets new, traditional characteristics are retained and complemented by contemporary shapes and the craftsmanship of local artists.
